Issue 377 | December 9, 2021

“To be a good fisherman you must detach yourself from the dream of the fish. This makes whatever is caught or found a treasure.” – Buddhist Saying

When the calendar changed over to 2021, there was a global hope for a new start and a new year that would magically be better than 2020.

What continued to unfold this year was not what we had in mind!

This year has been a constant reminder to me that, as my husband would say, "Everyone is in charge of their own fun."

This statement isn't mean to dismiss the real trauma around us.

It is a reminder that we choose how to respond and take control over our own happiness and mental health.

How have you taken your happiness into your own hands this year? A new hobby? More family time (one of the bright spots in 2021, for sure!)?

Please reply and let me know!

As we look forward to 2022, don't forget to celebrate what did go right in 2021. Here are a few powerful questions to consider:

  • What did you discover about yourself this year?
  • What is the most important thing you did for others?
  • What will you draw the most energy from in 2022?
  • What will you say yes to?

I’ve shared with some of you before that I enjoy the
Full Focus planner system from Michael Hyatt (this is my affiliate link). If you order, let me know and we’ll do a bonus 30-minute planning call together!

What else are you doing to plan YOUR year for 2022? Join me live on Tuesday as I’ll share a few ideas and would love to hear yours.

Oh, and if designing more modern resumes faster is on your list of goals for 2022, you absolutely do not want to miss the session on TODAY (or get the recording) as Cassie Olsen is going to go through all her tips and tricks for resume design!

DEC 9 | Formatting Mastery: Design Resumes That Appeal to Humans & Bots

The latest Jobvite Recruiter Nation study showed that resume format is of increasing importance to recruiters.

This doesn’t mean they are looking for fancy, designer-style resumes! It does mean they want resumes that are easy to skim and find what they need.

But how do you achieve those looks WHILE making the resume ATS-friendly? (Yes, both are possible on the same document!)

How do you make sure your clients STAND OUT without getting screened out?

Learn from award-winning resume writer Cassie Olson and RWA CEO Marie Zimenoff!

Join us live or watch the recording to receive:

                • Step-by-step guidance to create modern ideas that are also ATS-friendly
                • Inspiration and fresh ideas (with samples) to design stand-out resumes
                • Tips and tricks to do it all quickly, so your clients find their perfect fit faster
                We’re going to cover:
                • Design neuroscience – why it isn’t just about looking pretty
                • Headers, graphics, vectors, testimonials and quotes, and smart art
                • Color (with a fun tool for getting just the right one) and foundations (margins, paragraph spacing)
                • Columns – two ways to create them that are both ATS-friendly (and what to be careful of for readability)

…and more. Plus, if you attend live, you get an opportunity to design and get feedback during the session!

Whether you join live – TODAY from 2:00-4:00 PM ET – or watch the recording, you’ll receive sample resumes for inspiration, PLUS a step-by-step PDF guide to achieve these looks for yourself.
