Do your kids, grandkids, or nieces and nephews make countdown calendars for the holidays? My son created his own calendar a month ago to countdown to his favorite holiday – Halloween.
You can feel the excitement each morning as he crosses off the day before. It makes the celebration so much fun.
This reminds me to revel a bit more in my own big events.
We are 24 days away from the kickoff to Trends Day (Career Jam).

We are 170 days away from the kickoff to Colleagues Day (CTL Symposium – which I always describe to my son as when I get to hang out with my friends like he does every day at school!).
What are you counting down to? A fun vacation? A special holiday in your family? Having something to look forward to can be an inspiration. Having a specific number put to it makes it even that more real.
For the years while we were trying to get pregnant, the holidays were such a hard time. A reminder of what was missing. I realize this year’s holidays will have an equally hard impact on many of us and our clients. I am fortunate this year to have a spark of excitement through my son’s eyes and know you are frequently the spark of hope in the eyes of your clients.
