What are your clients struggling with today? Based on what I'm seeing and reading, there are a large pool of candidates that are working but looking to change and take advantage of the economic growth. Another group of candidates are struggling from a lack of opportunity in their geographic area or industry. They are looking for help to shift their careers and plug into economic growth they read about but aren't experiencing.

How can we help both of these job seekers succeed? One way is to tap into the "hidden job market." Toward the end of my livestream last week, I noted that this term is often described as "80% of jobs are not posted." This statement is usually met with high suspicion... for good reason. Most jobs are posted. However, many that are posted are already filled or will be filled based on referrals. This is the hidden job market: most positions are filled via referral (there isn't clear, recent data on the numbers, but historical numbers show 60%-80%). We do know from a few recent studies that 40%-60% of employers prefer to hire referrals from colleagues. How do you help your clients become the "referred candidate"?
