One of my lessons from the last year is that what we're worried about probably won't happen (and what we never expect to happen will). We closed on a house on March 13, 2020 ... the day everything came to a screeching halt here in our neck of the woods. I was wrought with fear that we'd made a huge mistake. That the market was going to bottom-out and we'd be stuck. |

Instead, house prices in our area have gone up more than 20% in one year. It's hard to find a balance sometimes (well, a lot in the last year) between watching the trends to stay relevant and letting predictions put us in an unproductive fight/flight mindset. What business or career challenges are keeping you and your clients up at night these days? What I'm hearing from some of our colleagues is a resurgent fear around low-cost resume services, AI in coaching, and many other predictions. Are you watching any of these trends? Any others? How can we balance paying attention to these and adapting with staying in a productive mindset where we can be creative, cooperative (not defensive), and able to communicate our value? I explored a few trends that I'm watching outside of our industry to hopefully help us navigate the future in my live stream on Tuesday.
