APR 26 | Learn to Help Clients Through Federal Job Applications & Earn the ACRW-Federal

In this certification and training program, you will learn how to help clients access an opportunity to serve their country while gaining employment with strong benefits, stability, and a reliable schedule.

Helping a client apply for a position with the federal government is much different than applying for a position in the private sector. Most federal positions are posted on USAJOBS (USAJOBS.gov) and most postings require that applicants apply through the system. It is important that federal resume writers understand how the system works so they can properly advise their clients.

This program, developed and taught by former federal HR professional Nancy Segal, will take you step-by-step through the federal application and resume development process.

MAY 6 | Resume & Profile Strategies for Challenging Career Situations

Recent research shows that 70% of people who are currently unemployed have been unemployed for 6+ months. If you are working with clients who:

      • have been out of work for a long period,
      • stayed home to take care of family,
      • are transitioning out of the military,
      • have been incarcerated,
      • or face other significant career challenges, this session is for you!

We’ll go through strategies these clients can use in their resumes and LinkedIn profiles to stand out in a good way and not raise red flags that keep them from getting called in to interviews.
