Master-E-Session: How to Build Your Credibility & Business Through Speaking
Career professionals inside organizations and in private practice are often called on to deliver workshops, webinars, and other presentations. These can be great opportunities to grow your brand and increase participation in programs (or get business!). If you've tried speaking and didn't get the results you were hoping for, or have been thinking about speaking but not sure how to get started, this webinar is for you!
Speaking expert Denise Hedges will join CTL CEO Marie Zimenoff for this content-packed session. We'll share secrets for planning, delivering, marketing, and pricing speaking engagements to increase learning, win over audiences, and have the impact you want to have.
Tools and information provided in this Master-E-Session will help you:
Determine what types of speaking engagements will be best for you.
Define or refine your speaking topic list and overall brand as a speaker.
Prepare better to deliver impactful presentations based on your audience and speaking style.
Market yourself as a speaker on a website, printed materials, social media, and more, including building a media kit.
Deliver presentations that captivate an audience, engage participation, and build your credibility.
Turn speaking engagements into action – whether that is a complimentary consultation to get more business, product sales, or more participation in your career center's programs.
Whether you are in business or speaking within your organization, we'll provide tips and strategies for providing a captivating presentation that demonstrates your expertise – helping you advance your career, build your business, and increase participation in your services!
The session will be recorded and all registrants will receive access to the materials, live session, and recording.

Read more and download your purchasing card using the links in the email or in the CTL Associate area of the website today (you must be logged in). If you print for presentations (a good practice for effective speaking), this discount alone could pay for your membership in no time! If you have trouble logging in, please let us know.

As the popularity of the Post 9/11 GI Bill has increased among veterans, some schools have seen it as a way to bolster their enrollment and revenue. Targeted and predatory recruiting of service members and veterans by some schools began to draw the ire of many in higher education, as well as the government officials who created the Post 9/11 GI Bill. Military-connected students began complaining about being duped into using all of their benefits on education programs they were unable to complete at certain schools. This webinar will inform those who address career issues with military veterans about higher education compliance considerations impacting military-connected students. Register here.
