LinkedIn Versus Facebook: Did you know that LinkedIn has 3177 employees and FB has 6818? That LinkedIn has 332 million members while FB has 1.35 billion? That LinkedIn's users are 43% male and 57% female, whereas FB has a 50/50 split? Very interesting stats, as always, from our colleague Joshua Waldman.

Resume Etiquette: Dos and Don'ts for a Modern Resume: Not only does this infographic share very interesting statistics (e.g., 77% of HR managers are looking for relevant experience; 41% want to be able to tell that the resume was customized to their opportunity), but you'll also find links to resume templates that can be helpful.

Paddle Your Own Boat: 10 Rules that Guarantee Career Success. Most of us know people who are more successful in their career than we are. A logical question to ask is, "What are they doing that I am not?" For the last 15 years, Vernon L. Williams has studied what successful people do. Interestingly, he found that all of them did the same 10 things, whether they were in the private, public, or the non-profit market segments. Learn what those 10 things are and what you can do to become more successful.

Networking for Mutual BenefitThe author, Teddy Burris, shares his core message of networking to the advantage of everyone involved, whether in real-life networking or using all of the social media channels at our fingertips.

The Greatest Books of All Time – As Voted by 125 Famous Authors. Although these are not career books, this is a fascinating list of the best books and best authors of all time. If you're a reader, you'll want to review this list and be certain that you've read all/most of them.

The 100 Best Jobs (US News – Money)
The best jobs pay well. They challenge you without stressing you out too much. There's room to grow and advance. Maybe most importantly, the best jobs are ones that are hiring. Some you'll know; others will surprise you!

5 New Design Careers for the 21st Century (LinkedIn Pulse)
We should always be looking forward to what's on the horizon so that we can guide our clients to pursue careers that will be offering lots of opportunities, versus careers that are fading into the past. This list of only 5 is a powerful guide for your creative clients. Read about the Social Innovator, Business Designer, Design Entrepreneur, and the others.

Employee Career Expectations for 2015 (BlessingWhite)
A sample of 341 employed US workers taken in December 2014 revealed a wealth of interesting statistics and expectations. For example … a substantial majority (70%) believe they personally have the biggest control over their next career move (as opposed to their manager or the company they work for). Their expectation of next career steps is more likely to include a new project or a new assignment (33%) or a move outside the company (29%) before a direct move up the corporate ladder (12%).

Salary Negotiation: 33 Things to Negotiate Other Than Money (Kennedy Executive)
Although compensation and benefits are always #1 and #2, you'd be surprised how many other things can and, in some situations, should be negotiated. Consider: job title as of start date; job title after trial period or after 12 months; promotion after trial period; waiver of trial period; signing bonus; training and education; guaranteed bonus; waiver of competition clause; and more. Read on for some very interesting things you may never have thought of.

Dos and Don'ts of Skype Interviewing (LinkedIn Pulse)
Skype employment interviews have risen in popularity over the past several years. Why? It's because they allow employers access to the candidate pool without flying people in or wasting time. If done properly, Skype interviews can be an extremely efficient way to begin the interview process. However, Skype interviews can present some challenges for job seekers. Read this article carefully and then share the information with your clients.

10 Hidden Features on LinkedIn (Power Formula)
With all of the constant changes happening on LinkedIn, it's difficult to keep up, even if you're a true LI enthusiast. So … do you know how to give a "shout-out" or what "500+ connections" really means? Do you know how to find out "who went to school for what" or how "birds of a feather" can really stick together? Read this to learn about all 10 LI features to determine which ones will benefit you.

10 Pros, 4 Cons and 5 Risks of Graphic Resumes (Epic CV)
This article objectively compares the benefits and pitfalls of graphic resumes, in which circumstances you may use them, risks, and tips for avoiding them. It's a must-read for every resume writer as we all work to improve our design skills, introduce infographic resumes for the right clients, and otherwise lead the way in resume presentation.

11 Embarrassing Interview Mistakes You Don't Want to Make (Business Insider)
OfficeTeam asked more than 600 senior managers in the US and Canada to recount the most embarrassing job-interview blunders they have heard of or been witness to. Read this article for some of the blunder highlights; then, be certain your clients never make these mistakes.

25 Things Never to Say During a Job Interview (and Why) (About Job Search)
I really hate my job; I have a vacation planned; my boss is the worst boss ever; the company is awful; and the list goes on and on. The author, Alison Doyle, shares these 25 items and explains why your clients never want to communicate these messages during an interview.

27 Hard Questions You Need to Ask Yourself to be Successful (Business Insider)
Read this list of very thoughtful questions and see where you are on your path to professional success. The very first question: "What are the top 5 things you need to do right now that you've been avoiding?" Second question: "Who is the one person in your life you need to build a better relationship with right now?" Read on to gain insight and action plans!

5 Bad Email Habits that Waste Your Time (Entrepreneur)
My favorite of the 5 is "Using Email for Everything." So many things happen in your inbox, from emailing a colleague for a quick question to managing a complex project with meetings and document sharing. The question is, though, should they happen there? Sometimes, there's just a better way to do things. Chat on apps like HipChat or Slack for internal conversations with your colleagues. Use Doodle or similar calendar apps for meeting scheduling. Store and share documents via specialized platforms (like Google Drive or Dropbox). Pick up your phone for urgent matters!!!

58% Job Seekers Taking Advice from Wrong Person (LinkedIn Pulse)
58% of job seekers said they are using their own experience to map out and execute their job search. Meaning, they aren't getting help from proven experts on the subject because they feel they are skilled enough to find work on their own. The author, J.T. O'Donnell, writes, "I'm just curious: When did the people in this poll get trained in the proper technique for marketing themselves to employers?" They haven't been, but you are!

Please email your kudos to me ( so that I can share them with everyone!
