Career Thought Leaders stands with our black colleagues in the fight to end racial injustice and will be prioritizing and deepening the conversation around diversity, bias, and how we address those topics in our work. Here are a few of the actions we're taking and how you can help:
- CTL sponsored 6 career pros to attend the Association for Coach Training Organizations conference which was focused on diversity issues. They will be sharing what they've learned with all of you in the next few months.
- We are creating a plan to continually address diversity issues and create space for challenging conversations and welcome your suggestions for topics and speakers.
- We are also pulling together resources specific to these issues in the workplace. Please send any suggestions to Marie at marie@careerthoughtleaders.com.
After hearing from so many on college campuses right now who are working with students and graduates, we decided to start a weekly event where you can listen to colleagues or recruiters and connect for collaboration with peers.
Join us Friday, June 12, from 12:00 to 1:00 pm US ET, we'll have a Zoom conversation where Dr. Cheryl Minnick and Marie Zimenoff will share a few resources and then facilitate discussion amongst career services colleagues to fuel innovation and collaboration.
On June 18 (note Thursday!), we'll be live again at 12:00 US ET with more guests sharing about what students can do to be more successful in their job search!
Be on the Lookout: Watch for emails from CTL with invitations for various writing, coaching, media, and publishing opportunities. Emails go out to all CTL Associates several times each month, so be sure to check them out!
Please email your kudos, upcoming events, or latest happenings to me at marie@careerthoughtleaders.com so that I can share them with everyone!
