CAREER THOUGHT LEADERS (CTL)
NEWS & EVENTS

NOVEMBER 9 | Resume Writing Academy Open Call: Online Resumes & Profiles

While there isn't any argument that professionals need to manage their online reputation throughout their career, there are plenty of conversations to have about how and where.

Should they have an online portfolio? A website? Profiles on all the major social media platforms?

Join this lively discussion by a panel of ACRWs and MRWs to explore what's next! Open to resume writers, coaches, and all other colleagues in the careers industry.

Register to attend live or view the recording.

NOVEMBER 12 | Academy Certified Profile Writer Training Program

According to the 2015 Jobvite Recruiter Nation report, 80% of recruiters use LinkedIn to evaluate and engage talent, 50% use Facebook, and 43% use Twitter. What will they think when they find your candidates profiles there? Will they find your candidate in their search results?

Software is being used to score your candidates' profiles on personality traits. Although we still need to coach clients to "clean up" their profiles (software is also looking for red-flag behavior like aggression), they also need profiles that demonstrate who they are personally and professionally. They need content that adds value beyond the resume.

If you want to finally take your profile writing beyond copying and pasting the resume, read more about the upcoming Academy Certified Profile Writer training program and certification starting November 12 from 2:00–3:30 pm ET.
