Over the past several weeks, I’ve considered what I can contribute to a community of experts who already have depth of knowledge and experience in resume writing and career development.  What contribution can I make that will add value and interest to the discussions? I have decided to start with  subjects near and dear to my heart–IT and business intelligence roles and responsibilities, terms and concepts, techniques, and best practices. These are areas where I can provide expertise.

My goal is to cover these subjects with a very light touch.  Writing technical resumes requires an understanding of what technologists do and why they do it. I’ll explain in short concise language and get right to point. And I’ll follow each discussion with a list of questions you should be asking your clients.

I appreciate and value humor. It is one of the most important traits we bring to a relationship. I offer the below definition of the meaning of analytics followed by a good healthy belly laugh. For those of you able to find meaning in this mismatch of words, I applaud you. For those who simply said, ‘huh?’ you’ll find value in my blogs. I left the quote unattributed. I will simply say that the author wrote a recent book about the Balanced Scorecard.
